For the past 15 years, i had the opportunity to run my own vfx studio.

As a partner in Makina and lately in Otomat, i was responsible for all aspects of the projects from bidding to delivery for both commercials and feature films. I managed the clients, worked as both a pre-production and on-set supervisor, setup the vfx pipeline, supervised the 3d artists and did the compositing. This gave me a solid understanding of the inner workings of vfx work and a hands-on knowledge of editing, cg process, compositing and colour grading.

As a compositing artist, i worked with nearly all the compositing packages available. I started with Inferno, then switched to Shake, Fusion and finally Nuke. I got interested in Nuke before it was acquired by The Foundry, started using it in day to day work while setting up Otomat.

I have experience in shading, lighting and rendering in various 3d aplications such as Maya, Cinema4D and 3dsMax. I graded tv commercials and a few feature films. I know enough Python to write custom gizmos for Nuke. I believe all of these contributes to being better at compositing.
