Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, I am a compositing artist with 20 years of experience in all aspects of VFX work from editing to grading.

I started with Flame in 1998, then around 2005 I switched to Shake then to Fusion. I had prior working experience with Nuke while it was still owned by Digital Domain but I started using Nuke for day to day work around 2010. I am comfortable and confident in all types of compositing work be it live action integration or cg.

After having worked as a Flame artist for several years at Sinefekt, I co-found two (consecutive) VFX studios, Makina and Otomat. Makina was the first Turkish studio that owned and operated a Milo Motion Control rig with a dedicated green screen studio. Otomat is known as a high-end studio especially for complex projects.

While running a VFX studio, I had to learn and practice everything from quoting to delivery. I managed the clients, worked as an on set supervisor, I setup the VFX pipeline, supervised the 3d artists and comped. This gave me a hands-on knowledge of editing, conforming, 3d and colour grading and provided me with skills to both work within a team and tackle projects from start to finish alone.

I have experience in shading, lighting and rendering in Maya and Cinema4D; I graded many TV commercials and a few feature films. I started coding in Python as a hobby which later developed to writing scripts for pipeline, gizmos for Nuke, scripts for Maya and vex for Houdini.

I recently moved in to London to setup the UK branch of Otomat.
